As a Senior Costume Procurement Specialist, you will play a vital role in sourcing and acquiring materials, supplies, and finished garments that support our talented cast. You’ll stay ahead of the latest industry trends and be key to our costume supply chain.

This is a Full-Time role reporting to the Area Manager - Costume Buying.

What You Will Do:

• Collaborate with vendors to source, develop, and procure quality products that align with organizational goals.
• Monitor warehouse inventory and complete necessary withdrawal transactions.
• Place orders for materials and garments using SAP and Coupa, while tracking delivery dates.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure supply chain efficiency.
• Seek out and onboard new vendors to enhance our resources.
• Work closely with Entertainment and Costuming Operations to uphold costume quality and design standards.
• Adhere to The Walt Disney Company procurement policies and guidelines.
• Ensure customer service excellence by meeting service quality and value standards at the lowest total cost.
• Establish new vendor contracts to maintain inventory levels.
• Maintain accurate records of vendor contracts and proposal requests.
• Communicate production status and product updates with the team and relevant stakeholders.
• Mentor and provide constructive feedback to team members to foster professional development.
• Lead sourcing projects with complex strategies and multiple vendors.
• Develop comprehensive bid strategies for large product packages.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in apparel or hardline purchasing/sourcing.
• Strong understanding of garment construction and related terminology.
• Expertise in international shipping processes, global sourcing, and compliance.
• Experience in planning, problem-solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, and influencing.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all organization levels, including with Executives.
• Proven experience managing a diverse portfolio of orders.
• Skilled in evaluating and onboarding international sources of supply.
• Expertise in complex cost analysis and commodity comparisons.
• Experience in managing workflows, project budgets, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prior experience ensuring vendor compliance.
• Ability to work with various types of fabrics, fibers, and synthetic furs.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
• Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Textiles or the Apparel industry.
• Proficiency in SAP/Coupa purchasing module, Yunique PLM, or Access.
• Familiarity with SharePoint and/or Smartsheet.
• Experience writing garment or technical specifications.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Advanced Degree in Merchandising, Costuming, Apparel, or related field preferred.
