Job Description

Warehouse Production Associate

In our small warehouse operation, the Warehouse Production Associate is the engine that keeps orders flowing and customers counting on us worldwide. This primarily warehouse-focused role supports distribution operations and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, shipping, and final quality checks. You'll also deliver and replenish VMI inventory, communicate inventory or quality issues internally, support cycle counts, and represent the company professionally at customer sites. As capacity allows, you'll provide cross-functional support to Production, helping with basic press operations to meet production goals. This position requires strong attention to detail, computer proficiency, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performing team.

Warehouse Operations:

  1. Perform initial quality checks on incoming materials
  2. Receive freight shipments and stock materials in proper bin locations
  3. Tag materials with required documentation and product information
  4. Create level-one certifications as required
  5. Organize and prioritize orders based on required ship dates
  6. Pick, pack, and ship orders using carrier software (FedEx, UPS)
  7. Communicate clearly with freight carriers regarding pickup and delivery
  8. Maintain accurate documentation of order fulfillment activities
  9. Serve as a final checkpoint to ensure quality and accuracy before shipment

Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Support:

  1. Deliver inventory to customer locations based on established replenishment requirements
  2. Represent the company professionally at customer sites
  3. Communicate inventory needs, discrepancies, or quality concerns to internal teams
  4. Initiate or support cycle counting activities as needed
  5. Safely operate company vehicles and maintain required driving standards

Fabrication / Press Operation (as needed):

  1. Assist in Production as needed
  2. Perform continual visual inspection to ensure accuracy and consistency
  3. Place finished parts in correct inventory locations
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work area between jobs and at shift end

  1. Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training or certification as required)
  2. Basic computer or system usage for inventory and shipping transactions
  3. Knowledge of common shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL)
  4. Ability to read and follow work instructions and shipping documentation
  5. Ability to read a tape measure and record accurate measurements

Education & Experience:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  2. Ability to read, write, and speak English
  3. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  5. Valid Driver's license with satisfactory driving record
  1. 2+ years of warehouse or manufacturing experience
  2. Experience operating press or fabrication equipment

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

  1. Prolonged standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and reaching
  2. Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle materials and tools
  3. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
  4. Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  5. Ability to work in a physically active, fast-paced environment
