Job Title: Practice Manager SIGN-ON BONUS $5,000 Location: Davidsonville, MD 21035 Employment Type: Full-Time Are you looking to expand your growth and knowledge in Veterinary Medicine or expand your knowledge to a dedicated team of Veterinarians and Support Staff? Our goal is to provide the Gold Standard care in Veterinary Medicine for our patients and clients at an affordable cost. The Practice Manager oversees the day to day operations/business activities of the hospital, including; hiring and training hospital staff, monitoring and analyzing operations of the daily schedule (tech assignments), maintaining inventory and ordering of inventory; technician scheduling, managing the hospital software and yearly certificates, and implementing safety and security procedures. Culture and Work Environment: Communicates the practice’s values and mission to the team. Motivates staff, and helps build and maintain morale. Upholds core values and standards. Holds regular staff meetings, including a component of mandatory training on standards of service and standards of care. Promotes a cooperative working environment among staff members; understands the value of teamwork. Is enthusiastically willing to perform as necessary to help the hospital function as a unit, including training of and coaching the staff. Promotes continuous quality improvement to ensure the practice’s success and achieve the vision. Requirements: Preferred : 2-3 years or more of managing a veterinary practice. Preferred: Experience with Ezy Vet software Sound personal judgment in decision-making. Capable of leading, managing, and coaching staff at all levels. Demonstrated ability to show empathy toward clients and treat animals with respect and compassion. Excellent interpersonal communication skills; with staff and clients. A commitment to outstanding client service. Technician assignment scheduling and calibration with the Practice Owner/Medical Director with scheduling requirements/needs. Maintenance/Trouble Shooting hospital equipment and technical support as needed Ability to complete assigned tasks in the time allotted without direct supervision. Adheres to the posted work schedule. Arrives for work promptly and begins work at the start time. Follows hospital policies for reporting lateness or absences.
