Key Responsibilities - Treatment Support & Planning:
Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans under the direction of a supervising SLP. Create and adapt therapy materials for both verbal and non-verbal students, including AAC supports, visual schedules, and communication boards. - Direct Student Services:
Provide engaging, student-centered speech-language therapy sessions tailored to varying functional levels and communication needs. - Collaboration & Communication:
Partner with teachers, families, and care teams to reinforce strategies and promote student success inside and outside the classroom. - Data Collection & Documentation:
Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, therapy sessions, and goal tracking in alignment with district and compliance standards. - Schedule Alignment:
For school-based roles, time off is typically aligned with school breaks to support consistent student services.
Qualifications - Active Speech Language Pathology Assistant license in Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to pass background and fingerprint clearance
- TB clearance (as required)
- Authorized to work in the United States
Physical Requirements - Ability to work in a school environment with moderate noise levels
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the day
- Occasional lifting of materials or equipment (up to 50 lbs, with or without accommodations)
- Exposure to typical classroom environmental elements (dust, pollen, etc.)
