Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time Special Education teaching opportunity in Burnsville, MN, focuses on supporting students with developmental cognitive disabilities (DCD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in a Setting 3 classroom. The position follows a school-year calendar, beginning August 31, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with weekly hours totaling 37.5.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing tailored instruction and support to a caseload of approximately 6 to 10 students with DCD and ASD
• Designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs and goals
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Utilizing evidence-based strategies to promote academic growth and social-emotional development
• Monitoring progress and maintaining detailed documentation of student performance and classroom activities

Desired qualifications and skills:

• Valid teaching license with endorsement in ASD or DCD, Tier 3 or 4 only
• Demonstrated experience working with students requiring specialized support in developmental cognitive disabilities and autism spectrum disorder
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and school personnel
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and adaptive learning environment tailored to diverse student needs

Location: Burnsville, Minnesota (single school building)
