Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in Anoka, MN for the 2026-2027 school year (August 31, 2026, to June 4, 2027). This role is ideal for educators holding Tier 3 or Tier 4 licenses with endorsements in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD). The position involves working in a Setting 3 classroom designed to meet the needs of approximately 6-10 students diagnosed with ASD or DCD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized and individualized instruction to students with developmental cognitive disabilities and autism in a structured classroom environment.
• Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) aligned with student goals and state standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other educators to ensure holistic student development.
• Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining detailed documentation to inform instruction and reporting.
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and learning.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Tier 3 or Tier 4 teaching license with ASD or DCD endorsement.
• Experience teaching in special education settings, specifically with students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder or developmental cognitive disabilities.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, behavior management techniques, and differentiated instructional strategies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
• Ability to maintain a positive, patient, and adaptive approach with special education students.

Location and Schedule:

• Position located in Anoka, Minnesota.
• 37.5 hours per week, full-time.
• One building setting.
