Our Physical Security Analyst is responsible forthe day-to-day operation, monitoring, and support of the company's physical security systems, with a primary focus on theVerkadaplatform. This role ensures the reliability, effectiveness, and proper use of physical security technologies across facilities, data centers, and critical infrastructure locations.

The position is primarily operational and analyst-focused, with some engineering responsibilities related to system configuration, integration, and optimization. The analyst works closely with Field Operations teams that support contractors in the field, as well as the Security Operations Center / Network Operations Center (SOC/NOC), which manages incident triage and response.

The role requires the independent application of professional physical securityexpertiseto analyze system performance,identifyoperational risks, and implement improvements to security technologies and processes. The analyst exercises judgment in interpreting security requirements, troubleshooting system issues, and recommending corrective actions to ensure reliable protection of company facilities and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Physical Security Operations

  • Operate and support theVerkadaphysical security platform, including cameras, access control, sensors, and alarms.

  • Monitor system health, availability, and alerts to ensure continuous coverage and functionality.

  • Perform daily administrative tasks including user access management, role assignment, and permission reviews.

  • Perform reviews of employee background checks to ensure they meet company standards.

  • Independently analyze system alerts, operational anomalies, and site conditions to determineappropriate correctiveactions, escalating or coordinating remediation when necessary.

  • Support physical security incident response in coordination with the SOC/NOC, including video review, evidence collection, and operational support.

  • Maintainaccuratesystem records, site inventories, and device documentation.

Incident Response and Investigations

  • Support investigations related to theft, safety incidents, unauthorized access, and policy violations.

  • Preserve and export video and access control evidencein accordance withlegal, privacy, and retention requirements.

  • Partner with Field Operations teams, the SOC, NOC, Legal, HR, and Facilities during incident response and investigative activities.

  • Assistwith after-action reviews and recommend improvements to detection, response, and physical security controls.

Engineering and System Support

  • Configure, deploy, and maintainVerkadadevices, including camera placement validation, access control configurations, and sensor tuning.

  • Assistwith new site onboarding, expansions, and upgrades, including coordination with Field Operations teams, contractors, and vendors.

  • Support integrations betweenVerkadaand other enterprise systems where applicable.

  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate remediation with vendors, Field Operations, or internal technology teams.

  • Apply professionalexpertisein physical security systems to diagnose complex technical or operational issues,determineroot causes, and implement or recommend system configuration improvements.

Compliance and Governance

  • Ensure physical security operations align with company security policies, privacy requirements, and regulatory obligations.

  • Support audits, assessments, andevidencerequests related to physical security controls.

  • Assistin the development and maintenance of physical security procedures and standards.

  • Ensureappropriate dataretention, access logging, and privacy safeguards are enforced.

  • Interpret company security policies, regulatory obligations, and privacy requirements and apply them operationally when managing physical security technologies and investigative evidence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Field Operations teams supporting contractors in the field to ensure physical security controls are operational and effective.

  • Coordinate with the SOC/NOC to support incident triage, escalation, and response workflows.

  • Partner with IT, Network, Facilities, Data Center Operations, and GRC teams.

  • Provide guidance and basic training to site contacts and operational teams on physical security tools and processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Three to six (3-6) years of experience in physical security operations, field security support, or related roles.

  • Hands-on experience with physical security systems such as CCURE, AMAG, Pinnacle, orExacqVision.

  • Experienceoperatingor supportingVerkadaor similar cloud-managed physical security platforms.

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently apply professional physical security knowledge to operational environments, including evaluating risks, interpreting security requirements, and recommending improvements to systems or procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting field operations, contractor-based environments, or distributed infrastructure.

  • Experience utilizing ServiceNow to track and manage tickets.

  • Familiarity with SOC workflows and incident response processes.

  • Networkingfundamentals as theyrelate to physical security systems.

  • Experience supporting investigations in operational or infrastructure environments.

  • Relevant certifications such as ASIS PSP, CPP, or vendor-specific security certifications.

Availability

This roleoperatesprimarily during standard business hours; however, the analyst maybe requiredto be available on an on-call basis to support response to critical security incidents outside normal hours. Such occurrences are infrequent.

Estimated base salary range: $77,100 - $118,600 USD/annually

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.
