A private medical practice is seeking a full-time Physiatrist for their outpatient locations in Bronx, NY

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Hours: 9am to 5pm
• Setting: 100% Outpatient

Responsibilities:

• Examining patients that may need to undergo physical therapy
• Diagnosing pain as a result of an injury, disease, or a disabling condition
• Determining and implementing appropriate treatment plans for patients
• Recommending and performing various medical procedures, such as trigger point injections, soft tissue, and joint injections to treat pain and improve physical functioning
• Leading a team of medical professionals, including physical therapists, in order to optimize patient care
• Monitoring ongoing progress and health of patients, and changing treatment plans, as necessary
• Counseling patients and their families and helping them adapt to lifestyle changes
• Performing initial evaluations to determine a patient's need and ability to participate in the rehabilitation process
• Conducting periodic re-evaluations of patients to determine progress and for change or discontinuance of treatment

Qualifications:

• MD/DO degree

• Active New York Medical License

• Board Certified/Eligible with American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (ABPMR)
