Job Description

SkillSetGroup is seeking a qualified Mill Superintendent to work in the Prewitt, NM area . This position will oversee paper machine operations in the corrugated paper industry. The chosen candidate must have strong leadership experience in paper recycling. Hands-on day-to-day operations, team development and facilities maintenance is also a must. This will be a 24-7, Monday-Friday operational environment, flexible schedule is available on a DIRECT HIRE basis.

Pay : $110-140K/yr + bonus (based off performance of company and annual salary)

Location: Prewitt, NM

Shift: Monday – Friday, Flexibility 24/7 facility

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred; however, equivalent industry experience and leadership expertise will be considered.
• Lead paper machine operations, provide coaching, training, and development to operators, driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, efficiency, and overall performance.
• Paper Mill a MUST and Strong leadership experience within a manufacturing environment is required.
• Utilize extensive knowledge of paper manufacturing processes, paper machines, and supporting equipment to troubleshoot operational issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions that improve reliability and productivity.
• Coordinate maintenance activities, planned downtime, budgets, forecasts, and capital projects while partnering with maintenance and operations teams to meet production goals and improve overall performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, operating procedures, and company policies. Candidates should possess strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP or similar ERP systems.
