Facilities Technician II (Cold Side)

We have an immediate opening for a Facilities Technician II (Cold Side). This position offers results-driven people a place where they can make a difference - every day! The ideal candidate will have expertise in HVAC, refrigeration, ice machines, preventative maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance, and repair.

Here's What You Will Be Doing

As an integral member of the Facilities Team, this position is responsible for:

• Managing day-to-day facility operations and maintenance across multiple sites within an expansive geographic area.
• Efficiently handling a substantial volume of service requests, prioritizing tasks to ensure prompt resolution.
• Collaborating with facilities management and operations teams to assess facility requirements and project planning.
• Supervising facility maintenance contracts and overseeing preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Administering the facility work order system, ensuring timely assignment and completion of all work orders.
• Serving on a rotating on-call schedule for facility issues once a month.
• Serving as the primary contact for vendors and contractors, managing vendor relationships and ensuring contract compliance and service delivery.
• Accurately inputting and tracking data in the work order system to monitor service requests and assign tasks to the appropriate providers.
• Performing routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, ice machines, electrical systems, and plumbing fixtures.
• Conducting preventative maintenance tasks to ensure all equipment is functioning efficiently and safely.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with equipment and systems to identify and implement solutions.
• Coordinating with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and installations.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment inventory.
• Responding promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines.
• Undertaking additional responsibilities as delegated.

Here's What Education - Experience You Will Need

• Proven experience in HVAC, refrigeration, ice machines, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance, and repair.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Capability to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.
