Entry Level Staff Accountant
Our client is seeking an entry level Staff Accountant as an addition to their accounting team. The position will afford the prosperous candidate training with a well-known company in the Hudson Valley located in Cold Spring.
Interested? Here’s what you’ll need to have as the Staff Accountant:
» 1-3 years of practice as a Bookkeeper or in an accounting function – internship practice can be included
»Bachelors degree in Accounting
» 1 year of practice with QuickBooks
»Must be proficient with Excel - will be using Pivot tables and vlookup
Staff Accountant Job Responsibilities:
»Assisting with payables and receivables
»Resolve discrepancies with receipt of goods
»Handling petty cash
»Obtain/post previous day cash activity
»Perform account reconciliations, cash/denial postings, and client disputes
»Complete external audit work as assigned and assist with internal audit functions
»Assisting with payroll tasks
»Preparing and processing invoices
»Balancing the general ledger
This is a full time, direct hire position paying $45,000-$50,000 per year. Hours for this function are 8:30am-5:00pm. Please submit a resume and apply for consideration!
