EMT – Non-Emergency Medical Transportation

Job Summary

Healthsphere EMS LLC is seeking reliable and compassionate EMTs to provide safe, professional, and courteous non-emergency medical transportation for patients traveling to and from medical appointments, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, dialysis centers, and other healthcare facilities.

The EMT will be responsible for safely transporting patients while providing appropriate basic patient care, monitoring patients during transportation, and maintaining a professional and respectful environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from scheduled medical appointments and healthcare facilities.
• Assist patients with entering and exiting the vehicle when needed.
• Provide basic EMT-level patient care within the scope of certification and company policies.
• Monitor patients during transportation and respond appropriately to changes in their condition.
• Properly secure wheelchairs, stretchers, and other medical equipment.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout each trip.
• Complete required patient care reports and transportation documentation accurately.
• Perform vehicle and equipment safety checks.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the ambulance/transport vehicle.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, healthcare staff, dispatchers, and coworkers.
• Follow all applicable company policies, safety procedures, and EMS regulations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

• Current EMT certification.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean or acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely assist and transport patients.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous EMS, patient transport, or healthcare experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements

The position may require lifting, assisting, pushing, pulling, and transferring patients and medical equipment. Candidates should be physically capable of performing the essential duties of the position safely.
