Center Location: Flushing Queens 11354

Responsibilities Include:

Develop creative programs and activities for groups of children with developmental disabilities
Encourage the children to participation in in goal-orientated activities
Work closely with families to provide information and skills necessary to enhance the development of the child
Work with families and other service providers to achieve a childs IFSP or EIP goals
Provide services in a school-based daycare setting
Daily data collection
Maintain regular progress reports and attend meetings related to the child
- Oversee a group of 5-10 children as a lead teacher and direct the TA accordingly

Requirements:

Certified in New York State as a Teacher of Special Education
Students with Disabilities Birth-2 Certificate or
- LCSW or LMSW

Strong time management and organizational skills
Good technical skills and the ability to learn new databases

Preferred:

Bilingual a plus
Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis and Special Instruction preferred but will train
Experience working in home-based programs, schools or daycares
