• Children's Pastor/Ministry Director### Job DescriptionThe **Student Pastor** position is traditionally an on-site,full-time position typically 40 hours per week with salary commensurate with experience. This person is responsible for directing students from middle &high school through college/career/young adults to age 29. We realize you may be looking for a children's position, rather than one for youth. Please read on.Lizella Baptist is in a unique position with a great team at the moment. Until recently, we've had a full-time youth/student pastor serving middle-high & young adults (college & career). Since our last student pastor left, our KidsLife & Education Pastor has stepped up with a great team of parents to lead our students, and we brought in a part-time lay leader to provide supplemental leadership to the children's ministry on a temporary (or potentially permanent) basis. The success of this move revealed that we are blessed with a great deal of flexibility in who we hire and the position opening we offer. Thus, we are receiving applications for VARIOUS ways we could fill out our current staff. You may see ads for full-time, part-time/bi-vocational positions for everything from children to next gen leadership because we are interested in entertaining as many options as possible to prayerfully find the person God has prepared to fit our team and church body. Our current staff could be realigned to accommodate a full-time or bi-vocational children's pastor if that is where the Lord leads. While it may seem confusing to list more than one ad, we are not hiring for more than one position. Rather we are looking for the right person to round out our team and we're blessed that God has graciously prepared us to tailor the position opening to fit His choice. We have over 1400 members on roll, 975 local (750 or so active monthly) and a weekly attendance averaging about 550. Our church is a welcoming church committed to serving our community, as evidenced by our newly built playground and park that hosts concerts & community events, pickleball and other fitness activities. It's rare to see our campus empty. We have two morning worship services on Sundays, evening discipleship studies, and midweek discipleship groups for all ages on Wednesday. You may see multiple ads for us for children/youth/next gen staff right now. This is because God has graced us with staffing flexibility, not because we are short multiple staff members. We have one opening right now and are seeking God's will as to the many different options for filling out our staff with that position; thus, multiple listings. Hope that makes sense.
