Certified Crane Operator

 

KMA Crane & Rigging – Houston, TX

Full-Time | Competitive Pay | Travel Required

 

KMA Crane & Rigging is seeking a safety-driven NCCCO Certified Crane Operator to operate hydraulic and lattice boom cranes on commercial, industrial, and wind energy projects across Texas and surrounding regions.

 

We operate large-capacity equipment, including Liebherr cranes. Professionalism, mechanical awareness, and jobsite discipline are essential.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Operate hydraulic and/or lattice boom cranes up to 1120 tons per load charts and manufacturer guidelines
  • Perform daily inspections, maintain equipment logs, and perform weekly routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Engage in sales activities when potential prospects present themselves
  • Execute lifts safely in coordination with riggers and supervisors intructions.
  • Follow OSHA, ANSI, and company safety standards
  • Assist with crane assembly/disassembly when required.
  • Drive equipment to job-sites to perform lifts and return equipment to yard when lifts are completed (CDL Required)

 

Requirements

 

  • Current NCCCO Certification (required)
  • Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred)
  • Current DOT Medical Card
  • 5+ years crane operating experience
  • Strong knowledge of load charts and lift planning (Both Metric and Imperial Systems)
  • Ability to pass drug screening and background checks

 

Preferred

  • Experience with Telescopic Boom Liebherr cranes
  • Wind energy or heavy industrial lift experience
  • Experience with 100+ ton capacity cranes
  • Familiar with Metric System
